Yep. The lower gain setting is designed for MM and HO MC carts with outputs down to 1.5mv. The high gain setting handles carts down to .15mv but retains the other setting's 47k loading. I've owned the PPH-100 and now have its successor, the ZPhono which is essentially the same but with the gain switching accessible from the rear panel.
IMHO, they are the best entry-level (<$150) phono preamps around, not counting DIY kits like the Hagerman Bugle.
