Re: thanks for the info fred

Mike

I believe you will learn to appreciate the TD 125 a great deal
they are along with the TD 150's the sweet spots with Thorens Line
both are entirely different with the TD 125 being a seriously heavy,
big, superbly designed with an even more impressive build quality with the TD 150's being almost toy like by comparison, but inordinately musical and a delight.

Tuning the suspension with the 125's can be both frustrating and tedious but the rewards are great if you're willing to deal with
the work with an eye towards serious long term use along with suspension tuning there are numerous suspension tweaks that can
radically alter the presentation. (TD 124 Mushrooms, Linn Springs
or Sorbothane blocks which I've yet to try, but the Linn springs
or 124 mushrooms seem to favor detail retrieval and speed without
an unreasonable loss in the musicality department, generally the more taught the suspension the better for Rock, Jazz and Reggae
the softer favors Classical for most.

The sub chassis isolation design makes most common damping tweaks pointless or even counterproductive.

I'll send you the Chadwick tweaks, I've never bothered with most of
them, I got to the point where I was happy/satisfied and never felt the need, however I'm told set up that way puts the TD 125 squarely
in the performance realm of a well set up HW 19 IV

Regards Fred
