A person could buy a new SL-1200mk2, AT440ML or Shure 97xe cart, and a Bellari vp129 preamp for less than 700, if they shopped around a little. And they would have plenty of fun tube rolling, upgrading the TT, trying different carts as money permits!!!Who really needs to spend over $1K to get in to the vinyl scene with some decent equipment???
