For a bit of money, but not too much money, get the UK Version of the Blue Box (BC13) Again, the UK vesion.I have a couple Japanese second pressings (AP series) Srnt. Pepper and White Album. Nice, not cheap, but not super expensive. OP pressings are best for Japanese, but not cheap.
Also not cheap, but the nicest version of the white album that I have is a 1982 Japanese mono pressing, sounds better than my UK original (heresy, heresy!) Again, not cheap.
Sure, UK originals are nice, if you can find them clean and not too pricey (good luck, you will pay dearly for clean ones.)
The US pressings are stinky stinky stinky. There is a reason some folks refer to them as "Crapital".
