Any one use a SME 309 on a Linn LP12?

I have a Linn LP12, and have been thinking about trying a SME 309 on it. I have heard that it is not a good match. Else wise, can some one suggest a arm that is a good match on the LP12 thats has interchangable head shells or wands?
