Every time I pick up the tone arm handle, a humming sound is produced. The humming disappears once I place the cart on the record, or on the tone arm holder. Is my turntable properly grounded? I've checked the connections, and everything seems in place and unbroken. My cartridge is properly mounted, and preamp set to receive a MC input with impedance of 100 ohms.My setup is as follows:
Thorens TD-126 MKIII
SME 3009 Series III with Denon 103 cart
Accuphase C-200V preamp
Accuphase P-300V power ampThanks in advance for any advice.
Best regards,
Aaron C
