I'll bet if you get better support for your TT, you'll hear audible improvements in bass and transient response.To be honest, I've never read a coherent account for why subsonic filtering is really worthwhile. Woofer pump almost never harm the driver, and IME only occurs while cueing a record or, like you say, when you bump your TT or what. I have no subsonic filtering in my system and I never see or hear woofer pumping except while cueing a record.
