I bought it back in the 80s. It is, in fact, as described by radiodaddy. It's mostly a bunch of "unplugged" demos of songs written for the White Album, primarily by John & George. There are some real gems on the album, though: Paul's version of "Goodbye," a song he wrote for Mary Hopkin and sings in a beautiful falsetto, and "What's the New Mary Jane," John's bizarre art brut/primitivist pop/psychedelic "song," which sounds like a Daniel Johnston track, are two I always particularly liked.
Most of the tracks here later appeared on the Anthology series. But not all. I have 2 dozen or so Beatles bootlegs from the 70s and 80s. I rarely play them anymore, but they're nice to keep around.
