OK, I have too many turntables (6) and one of the following has to go:
1. NAD 533- completely stock except mat, although I really like to play so I am thinking about a new platter, arm wiring, new counterweight, and ultimately a custom plinth.
2. Nottingham Horizon- also stock with RB-250 Rega arm, although at least the arm upgrades mentioned above still apply. If I can get 600 or so for the Not and 240 or so for the NAD, which would be better to "keep around" to play with in the long term?
Of course, the Nottingham with it's higher cost makes it attractive to keep, but the NAD (rega) has alot of possibility.I am up for suggestions as one or the other has sat idle off and on for three months- I need to do something....
