I use both brushes that come with the bottle. I first use the stiff bristle brush to clean the stylus. Then I apply Stylast liberally to the cantilever and stylus with the brush in the bottle top so that there is a blob of Stylast hanging from the stylus. After the side is finished playing I brush the stylus again with the stiff bristle brush and I clean that brush with a spray can of compressed air. I go through a bottle of Stylast about every 4 or 5 years.Best regards,
