Been working on Linns since 1979. Never had a problem with the bearings, well, except for the one Ittok we tried to disassemble and the guy doing the work decided to put the arm in a vise....The fragility of the Linn arms for the most part are a myth. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful, however.
I remember one dealer back in the late 70's telling me that Linn arms had to be shipped in the passenger compartment on air shipments because the difference in air pressure would damage the bearings!
