I recently bought the David Crosby (remember my name) LP in Half price books and records. The record surface looked perfect with no visible marks. There is a very audible crackle during every track which makes it unlistenable.
Is this caused by the record being played with a chipped or worn stylus or by it being treated with some unfavorable solution ?
Anyone have any thoughts ?
