The bearing can be (and I did it a few times) executed so that the VTF doesn´t change with a change in VTA. This requires grinding the top magnet to a specific shape, takes a lot of time and doesn´t result in an improvement in sound. But anyone who wants to cover the extra time can order it this way.
Something else. The pivot point only appears to be above the record. As the cartridge moves up, the whole armassembly moves backward too, compensating for the "lengthening" of the pivot to stylus distance. So, no warp "wow" results.
