me too, here at the comp

went to rockaway records in silverlake ca friday after work. they used to be pretty good for used vinyl but the store shrunk and prices on vinyl went up.

for what its WORTH, i got 12 silvers for $62.66 tax included.

neil young-silver and gold-$5
edgar meyer/bela fleck/mike marshall-uncommon ritual-$4
jazz at lincoln center-they came to swing-$4
the bad plus-give-$7 had to see if theyre any good, theyre ok.
yusef lateef-meditations-$6-spacy, meditative, worth the buy for sure
ernie andrews-eponymous-$4
eldad tarmu-aluminum forest-$5-jazz vibes-good personnel list
abbey lincoln-its me-$4
us 3-hand on the torch-$4-ive been waiting for this price!
holly cole-it happened one night-$4-a live set of her old stuff.

dee dee bridgewater-dear ella-$7-i expected MUCH more quality from this disc. too much of her trying to sound like ella, and overproduced.

dianne reeves-in the moment-$4-the bargain of the bunch. another live recording but what a great one. i actually had low expectations for this one but she has been doing better at jazz lately and this is a pinnacle for her. i nearly passed on it in the store. i didnt listen to any of these before buying.

so 12 silvery things for relatively cheeeeep, most of it not available on black stuff so i dont feel guilty. i do have on order, the vinyl of midnight sugar by tsuyoshi yamamoto and that should be STUNNING. the cd was.
