Really? Hmm...that's very interesting. My VxMR played through the +18 track cleanly even at 1.1 grams. A while back I did have a stylus that wouldn't track the torture track and which even had some trouble with +15. I sent it back to Shure, they inspected it, said it was defective, and replaced it for free.Take care,
