My Moth/Rega clicked for about the first week I used it, then it went away.
The hum probably has nothing at all to do with the TT. I was picking up a serious hum in my unit and even posted here about it a few weeks ago.
The source was the fluorescent light fixture in the room below. The subwoofer amp picks it up, too, thus magnifying the effect.
Before you return the TT, make sure all the cartridge leads are correctly installed as this can be another source of hum.
