Wonderful questions. The whole sorry story you can find if you click the link below. To this day I still do not know exactly what I did wrong. I set-up three cartridges before the AT and always got good results. Nick explained as subtilely as he could that I did almost everything wrong and that one mistake was compounded by the next :-) I am re-enlisting for cartridge set-up school....We did not add any weight to the SME. It works well with the stock arm with removable headshell. Nick confirmed that the AT will work well with the SME arm.
