Not an expert by any stretch, BUT

I think I can still answer your questions.

I believe you are correct about the Master Solution motor; it is a stand alone assembly. This is so that the motor is further decoupled from the plinth so that it doesn't send vibrations (as easily) into the bearing/platter. Lots of tables use this design (VPI, Clearaudio, Galibier, etc.) and I've never heard of it being a problem. If you don't have enough tension in the belt your speed may be slightly off but it's easy enough to correct. Since these motors are usually weighted once you have it set it shouldn't be a worry.

Also I don't see any reason why you couldn't get a Satisfy on there (I use one on my Emotion). Clearaudio doubtless will make you a board for it. Do you have any idea what the price of the Satisfy is? The only price I've seen for the arm alone is $700; you can get a pretty nice arm on Audiogon for $700. About 6 weeks ago there was a Moerch DP-6 for less than that. Something to think about. If you want to go new, the Satisfy IS, well, satisfying.
