...you know the one, "oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind...". She loves to clean and listen to records with me, and I got that single in a garage sale haul. They were so dirty though, so I had to wait until I got the 45 accessories for my VPI record cleaner and some appropriately sized Disc Doctor brushes. After that, we cleaned and played a 12" 45rpm copy of "Material Girl" from Madonna and discussed the meaning of the song.Slowly but surely she is learning to use all of the equipment, and she has a radio she plays a lot.
She has a great heart...as I was switching my Discovery Essence interconnects to the turntable from the SA-CD player, because I only have one RCA set, I said I needed to get another pair some day. She asked me if I wanted a set for Christmas. I told her they would be an expensive gift...and she guessed $1000. Obviously she already understands this can be a very expensive hobby...
