I'm glad you love the 103D. The first 103 I ever heard was the 103D and I didn't change cartridge models for over 20 yrs. I guess you could say I like them.

I'm still a 103 user, but I'm hooked on a 103M at the moment. I still have my last 103D and I intend to retip it eventually. The 103D is a very fine cartridge. If you retip yours, when the time comes try out a boron cantelever with a eliptical or microline stylus.

I have read stories about how awesome the 103D is retipped with the boron cantelever (better defined and low level detail). Thats saying something considering how good the stock 103D is, but everything in life can be improved.

Your 103D should go through some changes, sound wise, over the first 100hrs (approximately). After that time period you'll really know what all the stories are about. Fill us in how it all goes.
