re:Schroeder arm dampening proper?

Hi all:

I have some more q's- sorry :) I've been through too many tonearm resonance problems to buy another arm than does not properly dampen resonances. I also need an arm that tracks eccentric and warped LP's correctly. At these prices, I am terrified that I'll end up with another gimmicky arm/"flavor of the month" that just adds exciting coloration due to underdampened low-freq. resonances.

Does the bearing create arm wobble problems while tracking warped/eccentric LP's? Do the magnets touch while tracking same? Does the arm effectively dampen resonances? What happens when the magnet gap distance varies due to tracking warped LP's (does it vary)? If it does vary, right there one has inconsistent resonance dampening issues, assuming the magents do the dampening. The arm must have effective critical dampening. The string/oil thing is not enough, unless the magents do the majority of the dampening work. Can it track warped and eccentric LP's without reproducing low-freq.
resonances? These resonances must be minimal and very well-dampened.

I've read on http://www.schroeder-tonarme.de/ - the Hifi Plus review, and from Teres audio guy, that the arm does not do bass as well as other arms, nor are the notes "hewn of out rock" (see Hifi review on Frank's site). That's two opinions that the bass is a compromise, and another that notes are not reproduced with definition. We all should know that reviewers very seldom term their criticisms negatively; they nearly always clothe their critical observations with positive adjectives. When I see a review like that one, it's a red-flag. Taken with my fears about a ~zero friction bearing's stability and the comment from Teres, I get very, very nervous. I cannot buy this arm if that is the case. And especially if the notes are reproduced in a blurred manner- this is a clear indication of improper resonance control. I need honest answers to these questions, as I cannot audition this arm. Please- if I waste that kind of cheese on another gimmicky, resonant arm (like that POS Souther linear arm)... you know.
Thanks!
-L
