Apparently these blue sets "Beethoven Bicentennial Collection" are cheap as dirt. The volunteers at the big Hartford sale of donated stuff say these usually just get tossed out. I picked up nine volumes there last weekend, for $8. Haven't listened to these yet; they're pressed in the U.S., not Germany.I expect the pressings won't be great, but some of the performances are renowned. (unfortunately all the orchestral stuff is Karajan, no Kleiber... imo that's a disservice to Ludwig and to the DG catalog)
