The dynamics should improve after 50 hours or so. I hate to admit it, but have tried the V15 twice and either never got it dialed in or broke in properly.
The first time it was replaced with an Ortofon OM-40, the second time a Sumiko BP. Both times I feel the sonics were more enjoyable after swapping. The Shure did seem very balanced, but the dynamics were reduced. But a friend was having the same issue with a new one. After a month it opened up and started delivering all the goods.George
