I don't know your turntable. Does its arm have a tracking force range to accommodate the 4-5 grams needed for this model? My arm's tracking force dial only goes to 3 grams; to track my Stanton 890 SA at 4 grams, I've had to use a Shure gauge to set 1 gram of force with the counterweight, then dial in the rest with the downforce spring.I haven't heard the Shure SC35C, so I can't comment on its sound quality. I can recommend Stanton's inexpensive DJ model, the 500 AL II (about $30.00).
