Yes excellent site and great Macro pics, indeed a pleasure to see clean presentation.
Basically the JA is smooth as Silk--lush not aggressive--maybe a bit too laid back for some, but loaded correctly will deliver music as sweetly as virtually no other cartridge--and I've owned most of the top ones.
A precise--It has the mid range beauty of the Koetsu( still one of my favs!). the attack (almost!) of the Decca, soundstage width of the venerable EMT( I strip em' down)leaving the Vdh in a sort of a no-mans land --my impression of all Vdh's is the music seems to come across 'louder ' and more'in ya' face'--but the emotion is not there,I like the carts overall but they are are tad uninvolving. You know my thoughts on Clearaudio--would'nt have one again --anyhow up against my Clearaudio Signature the JA blew it away!--no contest
Another poster on this forum( and a personal friend) had the Clearaudio Insider Reference--and his JA stomped that as well--my observation rests that the Clearaudios are over rated ,overpriced and overhyped--not for moi!I also have had dialogue and information promptly and courteously from the designer himself--usually next day E-mail-his rebuilding program is extremely fair and honest i.e. for my model it is approx $290USD
I live in the wop-wop( 1500 mls from the nearest hi-end Dealer) and good service and backup from the maker is indeed a priority--do I recommend the JA Cartridges?-- indeed!,try one if you can and judge for yourself.
Good listening,
Des
