My limited experience with the 103S in the 80's tell me that it should work well in a medium mass arm. My more extensive experience with a 103D tells me that the compliance match does not have to be perfect for it to sound good. It is going to be difficult finding a good 103S. They are all getting pretty old. From what people have posted here, I would expect a SoundSmith retip to work also.
