...For the suggestions. I ended up with an Audio Technica AT95E from the bargain bin at Needle Doctor, where Brian mounted it on a new AT HS-1 headshell and shipped it for free.

It's working very well in the Kenwood table, with quiet surfaces and luscious sound, judging from the "Cosi Fan Tutti" highlights played as a test. I very familiar with this recording, and it has never sounded better.

For a shade less than 60 bucks, I'm very pleased with the outcome.
