RE: DIY phono stage, wire gauge question

Walt Jung once wrote a paper regarding the "skin effect" of wire. He concluded that higher frequencies travel on the surface of the wire, rather than the inside. My take from that is that stranded wire is much preferred.

It, at least, warrants a discussion.
