The message posted in this link is insulting as well as revolting. However I admit that I in part am to blame for originally placing the ad in an excellent category. I should have been more careful. The tonearm was bought about 15 years ago to a previous audiophile who used it regularly. I never set up this tonearm. Now that I am older I cannot do a restoration process. The previous buyer had a full refund from me, with no objection from me whatsoever. However upon closer inspection there is no water damage and no warping in the arm. The bearings apparently do need some cleaning as all the metal parts and in fact the whole tonearm is almost 60 years old. Moreover the play noticed on that junction on the headshell is from age. What was he expecting audiophile grade stuff and ready to play? He was pissed off because he did not want to spend so much money on it. So inconsiderate! The arm is so rare that it took me a long time to find one in any shape. It should definitely be restored as my new ad stated but once this is done it can sing again with very high compliance cartridges such as Peter Pritchard originally designed. I pride myself in being honest with integrity as my feedback in Ebay shows and am an appreciative audiophile with concerns to collectors but I cannot tarnish my integrity and cannot permit this kind of vicious manifestation shown to me be as acceptable. The new owner will get a respectable rare vintage product for a cheap price, not perfect but good and once restored capable of good things. Hope this is clear now to the reader viewing this.
