RE: Another VPI collaboration - Mark Levinson Turntable

I read in one of my father's old MSEE texts from the 1950's that ferrous material placed in proximity to a transformer increases coupling between the transformer windings-- nothing to do with EMI. IIRC somebody sawed open a VPI brick and found old transformer laminations inside.
