RE: AT95e: seeking engineering data

AT MMs utilise their patented "Dual V" magnet configuration. Certainly with their slightly more expensive models, this configuration contributes to a better channel separation performance. The AT95E spec for channel separation is fairly modest at >20dB with a channel balance spec of 2dB which suggests a greater allowance for tip azimuth errors.

As MrBear points out, the performance of a cartridge is the sum of all the parts and one of the most important considerations is the match of compliance to the tonearm effective mass.
It is quite likely that compliance is such that it matches your playback system well which will further contribute to a pleasurable sound.

However, from a specification perspective, there are a few clues that this cartridge is not intended to be used outside of the requirements of "typical" LPs. If you expect it to have the same HF tracing and tracking ability as the more expensive MMs, then you are likely to be disappointed.

The short version is that the AT95E is engineered to perform at a certain price point with common musical material.
