If either of the two units you name were so superior to the SP10 Mk3, there wouldn't be such a high end market for the Mk3, but there is. Anyway, I thought you were a vintage kind of guy. Obviously, you can easily find a nice Mk3 for about a third of the price of the AF product; I do agree they are scraping the stratosphere. On the other hand, the Mk3 with modern tweaks will compete with any DD out there, old or new. IMO, of course. Also, it's not really a used turntable by the time AF gets done with it; that's a bit unfair to them.
