Hi,

Thanks a lot for your advice. Actually, besides everything else, I have been having computer troubles lately, and have not usually had good access to internet at home. Well, mine was not from Woodsong but rather from Perfect Sound in the UK. The Woodsong one does look nice, in case I have difficulty with the other.

Finally I did get the old one off, by holding it with a cloth covered vise grip (still did scratch up the 78 rpm setting), and using a needle nosed plier to get more torque on the mini screwdriver.

Also the collar does just squeeze the sheath on the pulley. That's how the old one worked, and Woodsong apparently wants you to use the old collar. Mine actually seems OK now.

Now to continue putting the thing together....
