As in newly recorded material, not reissues. To me it is the one area of the vinyl rebirth that has lagged the others, although musing - has new jazz on vinyl kept up? I am still working on acquiring some classic jazz albums.
Anyway, one of the best sources of for new classical vinyl seems to me to be www.mdt.co.uk, and there have been maybe 30 issues per month, of which a handful are new recordings, and the rest reissues. I haven't purchased that many new recordings of classical material myself - I can think of the Tacet Dvorak chamber music, the Jonas Kaufmann Puccini set, and the Villazon/Netrebko set a few years back. There might be more, but nothing else comes to mind. I have my eye on the Ticciati Haydn 45 from Linn.
Question - have you found any newly recorded classical vinyl of interest?
