The Yamaha is a decent direct-drive table and has good specs. I would suggest a new, modest-price cartridge that would get about all the performance potential it has to give. A dear friend of mine sold tons of these in Washington state into the early 80's.
I just had experience with an Audio Technica AT-95 cartridge. I paid the couple extra bux for the black version from LP Gear and I must say it performs like a champ, after a modest 'break-in" period. 40 bucks, and its a good match to the Yam arm and table.
The Andante cartridge was made by Sumiko apparently, in the late 70's era and for the price of that needle, it might not be worth the experiment unless you just loved it for some particular reason.
