I finally finished the survey of Yo Yo Ma's first traversal. Pretty dull but the worst part was the 4th. It was pressed off center so everything sounded out of tune. Also, they seem to be recorded in a slightly noisy environment. Too bad, guess I'll give it away.

I just got the remake on CD. Yes, it's different, more dynamic and varied but still doesn't hold a candle to the Enders but I'm still investigating. One thing I thought weird and irritating was splitting the 4th suite between the two CDs. No sense to that at all.

I'm not sure I can recommend the vinyl of the Enders on Berlin Classics, it's just too noisy. Go for the CD if you're interested.
