Budget $4000 without arm or $6500 with.
Listening habits: classical orchestral, opera, cello concertos are a favorite, also solo piano. Classic Jazz: Coltrane, Adderley, Monk, etc.
I am focused on an emotional musical experience: textures, tones & overtones, colors, timbral realism. I attend classical concerts on a regular basis in a variety of venues so I have a decent grasp of what instruments should sound like. Well, to my ears anyway.
I do not listen at high volume. In my space 70dB is overwhelming.
That's about it.
