There are persons who can make that look like new, for a price. Depending upon that price, it might be worth doing if it would enhance market value by at least a like amount, which I think is plausible. The platter edge is polish-able aluminum. If you have a buffer wheel, you can do that much yourself. Or go buy some Simi-chrome and do it by hand; big scratches such as I think I see on your platter will probably not come out with Simi-chrome and handwork, however. (My other hobby is auto restoration, so I know.)
