There is a new record store in Seattle, just opened this weekend. It is great!
Daybreak Records
Most people in the area have been to Jive Time records. The guy that held that place together was RJ. I have known him for almost the entire 15 years he worked at Jive Time.
Well, he finally realized his dream and opened his own shop just up the street. 4308 Fremont Avenue North, next to Uneeda Burger.
Daybreak Records
I have encouraged RJ to do this for years, and I am glad to report his new store is amazing. Fantastic inventory on the walls. I spent several hundred dollars there on my first visit.. RJ
is a vinyl nut himself, and he has forgotten more than I will ever know about records, and I have been collecting for 30-plus years. If you have ever been to Mississippi records in Portland, Daybreak Records has that kind of vibe. RJ is very excited to be running his own show, and I strongly recommend you stop by and say hello.. You WILL find something to buy. He has a good eye for interesting stuff that you will not see in other record stores.
Check it out. If you have a box of good quality duplicates, bring them in and he'll make you a good deal so you can go home with something new.
I have no financial connection to this store. I am just very happy to be a customer, and to see another great record store on the local scene. I am sure it will be my new favorite place to buy used vinyl in Seattle
