viridian pretty well covered it in his response. The EVG is the best available very cheap elliptical, the Jico elliptical might be a bit better or not and also the Astatic NMR series. If you choose to go with an HE stylus look for one with a major radius of 1.5 mils rather than 3.0 mils as the original Shure HE design was 1.5 mils so this will be the closest copy of that stylus. I personally like the SAS stylus but as stated it is out of production and now extremely expensive.

I've found that I did not like the Pfanstiehl elliptical styli at all but their conical was pretty decent, if you have any interest at all in a conical.
