I actually have no idea where this came from, I found it in my storage heap. It's mint, looks like it was played once. Some silly sorts of self-parody but some amazing, graceful playing ranging from very tight ensembles to Zappa's god-like guitar solos. Great sound quality and very quiet, with a lively sound. I think I have every LP up 'til "One Size Fits All" but a couple may have been carried off by marauding bands of drug-crazed hippies.
If I only had one, live Mothers LP it would be Roxy & Elsewhere. I saw the roadshow around then and it was fabulous. As FZ states so perfectly regarding Ed Mann, as he cuts loose on the marimba: "He's not sick, he only has mental health problems." Yeah...
