Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

I was considering both

I ended up buying a Liberty Audio B2B-1. When I bought it the price was $1749 but it now sells for $1999. The Lehmann Decade turned out to be a very close second to the Liberty Audio product in my opinion.

The B2B-1 is so quiet it uncovers details in the music that are difficult to resolve with many phono preamps. I liked the fact it was an all FET class A phono stage and that it had so many highly rated reviews from professional reviewers and from private owners.

It is dead neutral as far as tonal character is concerned. If you want tube type midrange tonality look elsewhere. Since you were looking at the Parasound and the Lehmann I figure you wanted the same type of sound quality.

Liberty Audio is the factory direct product line from PBN audio. The B2B-1 is the first product from Liberty Audio and you can only buy it direct online. The B2B-1 is based on existing PBN phono preamps that sell for 6-10x as much. The build quality is first rate and I could not be happier with my purchase.

I doubt that there is much to be complaining about with any of these products.

Best of luck with whatever you buy,
Ed
