that I use for a phono back up. I knew nothing about it so was not looking but it came to me with a package of components from a friend who was a former dealer. It is a Rotel RQ 970BX and I suspect can be picked up for something close to $100. Be aware that Rotel apparently upgraded a few parts as production progressed so later ones may be better than earlier models.

Also, you can find instructions on line to modify this unit, developed by Andy Grove who was connected with Audio Note. That seems like a pretty fair recommendation.
