Onzow Zero Dust stylus cleaner problem

Last year I decided to use my Onzow Zero Dust stylus cleaner on my Van Den Hul Grasshopper GLA III. My Onzow is approximately ten years old, and had not been used in several years. Although it is old it is still very soft and sticky, and has always been kept in a no more than 50% humidity home.

Rather than just lowering the stylus onto the Onzow, and lifting the cartridge right up, I left the stylus rest on it for a minute or so. After a minute or so I raised the cartridge and the whole cantilever fell off.

Luckily Van Den Hul did a very reasonable rebuild, that was only about 12% of the cost of a new Grasshopper GLA III cartridge.

Has anybody else had a similar experience with an Onzow stylus cleaner?
