I concur! Also the risk of damage to records as the tip gets worn is actually less since the exotic cuts fail catastrophically - if the ridge on the MicroLine breaks off then that's the end of the record unless you can identify the location of the loose chip of diamond and remove it. The next sweep past the loose diamond would destroy more of the tip and the stylus would be gouging out the groove.
