But certainly, the Strauss recordings, the Beethoven Seventh, The Planets (WAY better than Karajan's digital remake for DG!), Brahms 1 and 3 (and Tragic Overture), Haydn Symphonies, Mozart Symphonies. . . There's some variability in the SQ of course, and a general rule of thumb is that the earlier the original release date, the better (i.e., more coherent) the engineering is likely to be.
