This is a great turntable for what it is and the ease of an auto. Ive had Sota and have an upgraded Rega RP3 like new which I am getting ready to sell. Im just used to auto tables as that was what was mostly around way back when. At any rate, I've had this for easy 10 yrs and was sent into Joel for refurb and set up and had been working fine for the last 8 to 10 yrs or so. Joel has since passed. Been working fine until it has developed a strange static issue that would seem to be much more than static from the vinyl itself. When the unit stops and the arm returns to its rest and then taking the disc off the platter ----the platter will turn by itself at least a couple of rotations ,, crackling noise heard and the speed will change back to 45 by itself. Seems like a static issue but I cant help but think its something in need of service on the board itself Anyone?
