RE: Lehmann Black Cube - Inserting Resistors

I have an older Black Cube, so it could be different.

If you insert the resistor and it DOESN'T require a LOT of force to remove it, then you should solder it in place.

It may work if it holds itself in place, but it can become loose. If there is really a connection that knifes across the resistor leads, then that is sufficient.

It is not difficult to learn basic soldering skills which is all you would need.

Be sure to experiment with a bunch of inexpensive resistors to get the right loading. Supposedly, once you know the resistor value you want, you can buy a top notch resistor. It is on my to do list as I just have an ordinary metal resistor in place, that costs about 35 cents.
