Thanks for the input Heindmuse....I have my Sscout SAMA on their original foam feet. (you say you have yours solidly secure). I tried your way, but mine sounds better to these ears. My thinking is that the foam feet absorb any out of roundness in the Classic platter and also subdue the motor noise from the SAMA traveling to the supporting table. The turntable itself is solid on Bearpaws. (also made by Edansound). I tried the Terastones (I tried all three different balls), yet came away with the brass Bearpaws sounding best. I don't use any mat at all...tried VPI's rubber thing, but go naked now. I'm not saying your setup is not as good as mine, but my setup works best for me. I'm talking to Harry about updating my arm cable...I have Discovery, and just discovered that Nordost has a new (better?) cable for the printed arm...and regarding the maglev new platter. There's always something!! :)
