First, I'm new to vinyl. A few weeks ago I bought a 70s Sears and Roebuck stereo cabinet with a (what I'm reading is, crappy) BSR turntable, though to be honest I've never been enough of an audiophile to tell much of a difference.
That said, I've spent more than a few hours rehabing this guy, as the turntable was seized and the electronics needed some tlc. All the mechanics and electronics are working great now, but the stylus skates right to the middle.
Given that I don't know the age of either the cartridge or the stylus, I'd like to replace them both. Finding a replacement stylus was easy (Tetrad T3MD), but the only identifier on the cartridge is TC 11M1 which some googling leads me to believe it's a Magnavox.
Any ideas what I can replace this cartridge with? Will I need to get a replacement shroud, or is this a standard form factor?
